Adventure Park

Whether you are a child or a kid-at-heart, you will have loads of fun at Silver Star’s Adventure Park. Race down the mountain in a inner tube or watch your kids zoom around on their very own snow mobile on the Mini-Z Track. After that, feel like Gretzky on Silver Star’s natural skating pond, Silver Lake. Whatever you choose to do, you’re guaranteed a day of laughs.

Guided Mountain Tours

Let the Silver Star locals show you around the mountain they are proud of. Take advantage of a free tour available for intermediate and expert boarders and skiers. If you’d like to know what the locals know, meet the Ski Partners in the Village at 9:30am or 1:15pm.

Guided Snowshoe Tour

Enjoy Silver Star’s natural beauty by taking a guided snow shoe tour. Imagine the excitement of following animal tracks through the forest on a Snowshoe Safari. For all types of personalities many other tours are available, including Special Event Snowshoe Tours. To ensure this adventure is comfortable as possible, Silver Star provides high performance snowshoes.

Movie Night

Every Wednesday night in the auditorium of the National Altitude Training Centre you can catch a flick on the big screen with high quality stereo sound system. The movies start at 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Get your tickets at guest services located in the Village.

National Altitude Training Centre

Looking for more ways to challenge yourself? Test your strength on the indoor climbing wall. Is being pampered more your style? The National Altitude Training Centre is also home to the Beyond Wrapture Day Spa. Visit the Fitness Centre which offers state-of-the-art training equipment. If you’re looking for some fun and entertainment the Centre also has a 180-seat auditorium that hosts weekly events.

Nordic Skiing

Breathe deep and enjoy the beauty of skiing through untouched, snow covered trails. Silver Star offers over 60km of trails that attract world-class athletes. While you are cruising around you may run into one of the many Olympians that train at Silver Star.

Serene Sleigh-Ride

Enjoy the silence of snow-covered trees on a sleigh-ride to a cozy log cabin for dinner. Or, perhaps you’d rather take a tour around Silver Star’s beautiful Silver Lake. Either way, it’s an experience that will make your vacation unforgettable.


Skating

Silver Lake skating features music and an outdoor fire to warm your insides. If you forget your skates don’t worry as skate rentals are available. Because this is a natural pond it is recommended to call ahead for current conditions.

Snowmobiling

Discover the absolute beauty of Silver Star back country on a guided snowmobile tour. This provincial park offers some of the most snow covered trails and panoramic mountain views in Western Canada. Bring the family as riders of all levels are invited. To ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible, Silver Star carries four-stroke ‘smoke free’ snowmobiles. At present 1/3 of the fleet is ‘smoke free’.

Telus Park

Get ready for some action at the New Telus Park at Silver Star. It all takes place on 16 acres of terrain park and rail garden. The park is designed for all levels of boarders and skiiers, so get daring. Now for the 2005/2006 season there are nine new stunts to make you feel like a pro.

Telus Park attracts some of the best free-stylers in Canada. Feel like a champion on the Aerial Training Site, as well as, the 530 metre long Dual Moguls Race Course. The Race Course is FIS-certified and set up with wireless timing.

You’ll also want to check out the Regular Half Pipe at Telus Park. Imagine catching some air as you cruise down the 18-degree slope with a four-metre radius. Lots of opportunity here to pull some tricks off as the Half Pipe is 140 metres long.
